How to make a Gingerbread House Popsicle Craft

Step One: Build The Structure

Start by vertically aligning 8 popsicle sticks side by side. Then, using two more popsicle sticks, glue the eight popsicle sticks together in a rectangular shape for the house.

Set the rectangle aside. Next, glue two popsicle sticks to six that are placed horizontally to keep them together. Once the glue has dried, cut the six into a triangle to act as the roof.

Step Two: Decorate the Roof

For step two, adhere the roof to the top of the rectangle using glue. Then, make the shingles from white paper using scissors, and glue them to the roof’s edges. Giving the roof a scalloped edge lends a nice finishing touch.

Now, add some adorable colored dots, sequins or mini pom poms as ornaments to the paper and a  pipe cleaner wreath beneath the shingles. You can also string led lights around the house if desired.

Step Three: Add the Door

Finally, glue a colored piece of paper to serve as the door. Add paper or pipe cleaner around the door’s frame after that, along with a doorknob made from buttons or even a wooden bead would work!

Then, finish by attaching festive string or yarn to the back so you can hang it! You can simply use strong tape or glue. Now your Gingerbread House Popsicle Craft is complete!
