In celebration of this year's Las Vegas Science Festival, many of our branches are participating in Science is Everywhere Day!

LEGO League
Kids ages 6-12 are invited to get inspired by a story and create their own LEGO masterpiece which will be be displayed all month long in the library!
Whitney Library on April 1 at 3 p.m.

Technology Petting Zoo
Kids and preschoolers, come and explore some of our library’s tech tools and gadgets. Enjoy a Minecraft world with your friends, test out some Virtual Reality equipment, and more!
Rainbow Library on April 4 at 4 p.m.

Battle of the Bots
Not heavy enough to be a sumo wrestler? Why not build one instead? Jump in the ring and refine your fighting strategy in our Battle of the Bots class!  Explore many different facets of programming and robotics as we develop our code, add some flair, and go through practice rounds. For ages 9-14.
East Las Vegas Library every Wednesday in April at 4 p.m.

School-Age STEAM
Join us each week for a fun, hands-on science-based program! For ages 6-11.
Spring Valley Library every Friday in April at 4 p.m.

Robot Lab
Drop in and learn some coding basics by tinkering with a variety of technology while creating and coding robots! Featured tech may include littleBits, Ozobots, Code and Go Mouse, LEGO WeDo, Dash, and more. For ages 6-12.
Whitney Library on April 8 at 3 p.m.

STEAM Wednesday: Butter Slime
It's Slime Time! Join us as we make Butter Slime, which uses soft clay to give it an extra smooth texture. This program is intended for ages 7 and up.
Clark County Library on April 12 at 4 p.m.

Protect a Peep
Oh no! Our marshmallow Peeps are in danger of sinking! Join us for an engineering challenge using marshmallow Peeps and craft sticks.
West Charleston Library on April 13 at 4:30 p.m.

Science Saturday
Kids ages 6-12 are invited to test their science, technology, engineering, art, and math skills by taking part in a fun STEAM challenge!
Whitney Library on April 15 at 3 p.m.

Hands Off
Teens, we have a challenge for you! Grab your friends and see if your team can engineer a tower without ever using your hands. Winners claim a prize and bragging rights. For ages 12 to 17. Space is limited. Please pick up your free ticket at the Sunrise Youth Services Desk.

Early World of Learning: Preschoolers
The premier online resource for preschoolers and children in the early elementary grades. Developed with experts in early childhood education, Early Learning offers rich resources designed for easy integration into the classroom curriculum, public library programming, or learning at home.

ScienceFlix: Grades K-6
Offering more than 50 complete units of study with over 8,000 science-related assets, ScienceFlix provides students with a better understanding of science concepts and ideas through hands-on projects, videos, multiple text types, and interactive features.

Socrates: Grades K-8
A fun and educational eLearning platform that creates dynamically-adjusting learning paths for each child. This learning tool performs like a video game, with prizes and incentives, as it sharpens math, English language arts, and science skills.

Interactive Science: Grades 6-12
Users can manipulate and explore 3D interactive models, allowing students to visualize and understand concepts in biology, chemistry, earth and space science. Reference and periodical content provide additional context for further understanding.
