Spring is wonderful for doing some spring crafting with the kids! Today we’re sharing a super easy paper flower craft for kids that they can beautifully display. These blue Forget-Me-Knot paper flowers make vibrant art prints for kids. This craft is great for honing in on those fine motor skills by cutting, folding and gluing petals.
What do you need to make this easy spring flower craft for kids?
The beauty of this simple flower project other than the finished art is that you don’t need many materials. Mainly paper, glue, scissors and rods and paint for the stems. However, you can skip a couple of steps and just use straws!
What can you do with your finished flower art?
Hang in a shadow box in a picture frame!
Make a smaller version in a card form to make a handmade card.
Gather as a bouquet to make spring paper flowers in a vase to surprise someone!
Make the flower version only without the stem and glue a pin to make a paper flower brooch!
Make the flower version and tape as a centerpiece on gift wrapping.

Paper Flower Craft for Kids – Materials
– Purple, blue, yellow, green paper
– Glue stick
– Green paint
– Wooden sticks (or straws)
– Black marker
– Blush (or pink marker)

Draw nine large petals, sixteen medium petals and eleven small petals on blue paper and cut them out. Make a small cut at the bottom of the petals and glue them together.
Draw a circle on the yellow paper and cut it out. Draw a face on it.
Glue the petals on the back of the face.
Cut to size the wood sticks and paint with green paint.
Draw six small leaves (same shape as the smallest petals) on green paper and cut them out. Make a small cut at the bottom of the leaves and glue them together.
Glue leaves to the stem.
Glue the flowers on paper to make a canvas.
