From her roots as a provincial princess of France, to her ascension to the throne of England and her eventual downfall, Queen Margaret is one of the most complicated, fascinating, and thrilling characters in Shakespeare’s works. She is a warrior, a wife, a politician, a mother… and this dynamic new drama, lifted and remixed from the text of Henry VI and Richard III, finally gives her story the telling it deserves.
This production includes seating on the stage AND regular audience seating. We invite you to choose On-Stage or Off-Stage (traditional) seating.

Event Details
Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years—where Andy goes on to excel at Yale and law school, while Melissa flunks out of a series of “good schools.” While Andy is off at war Melissa marries, but her attachment to Andy remains strong and she continues to keep in touch as he marries, becomes a successful attorney, gets involved in politics and, eventually, is elected to the U.S. Senate. Meanwhile, her marriage in tatters, Melissa dabbles in art and gigolos, drinks more than she should, and becomes estranged from her children. Eventually she and Andy do become involved in a brief affair, but it is really too late for both of them. However Andy’s last letter, makes it eloquently clear how much they really meant, and gave to, each other over the years—physically apart, perhaps, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

A contemporary string band, Kittel & Co. made their Grammy-nominated debut in 2018 with their album “Whorls.” The album’s title refers to patterns of spirals, an apt metaphor for the undulation between the outsize skills and free-spirited instincts that drive its sound. A dazzlingly original work, “Whorls” inhabits the space between classical and acoustic roots, Celtic and bluegrass aesthetics, folk and jazz sensibilities. Previously of the Grammy-winning Turtle Island Quartet, Jeremy Kittel demonstrated similar scope as a composer-arranger-collaborator for such diverse artists as My Morning Jacket, Yo-Yo Ma & the Silk Road Ensemble, and Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn.
_
But for the last few years, the Brooklyn-based artist has been diligently building his own repertoire of music for this wholly original new group. Kittel & Co. includes mandolin phenom Josh Pinkham (named “the future of the mandolin” by Mandolin Magazine), genre-bending guitarist Quinn Bachand (a presidential scholar at Berklee College of Music), transcendent bassist Ethan Jodziewicz (as heard with Sierra Hull), and hammer-dulcimer wizard Simon Chrisman (acclaimed for bringing a new tonal flexibility to the instrument). “We met gradually over the years, through festivals, shows, gatherings,” Kittel says. “Each really struck me with their uniqueness, for being a singular force on their instrument.” These musicians are as prodigious as they are world class: Most aren’t even 30 years old. Don’t miss this incredible evening of music!

During a January 1998 interview, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler singled out Draw The Line as the best of the Aerosmith tribute bands. On Boston’s biggest Rock radio station 104.1 WBCN, disc jockey Nick Carter quoted “I’ve seen Draw The Line! They ARE Aerosmith!” The band is popular on the college circuit as well, and has been interviewed by several Bostonbased college radio stations, such as Brandeis University’s 100.1 WBRS. DTL has also had featured articles in international fanzines, Boston area newspapers such as The Patriot Ledger, The Boston Globe, The Mariner papers, etc. They are the only tribute band who has been featured on the Official Aerosmith Website as well as that of Aerosmith’s Official Fan Club. With support and accolades from Aerosmith themselves, as well as journalists, top DJs, and fans worldwide, it’s no wonder that Draw The Line is recognized as a one-of-a-kind. “A professional show band in a league of their own amongst tribute acts, and of a caliber that is unparalleled in the tribute genre” says reporter, Joe Reardon of the Mariner Newspaper Group.

Stefan Couture and the Moondog will redefine your idea of an acoustic duo with a sound so big it feels more like a band than it does a duo. A melting pot of Stefan’s soulful modern folk and great songwriting fused with the dynamic 12 string guitar of Matt Nolan.
_
Stefan’s songs are written with heart and uses lyrics that are personal, yet completely relatable to all at the same time. True poetry of the human condition, Stefan’s music is like an old friend that captures the same type of spirit as troubadours like Tom Petty and more modern songwriters such as Ray Lamontagne and Ryan Montbleau. Nolan’s virtuosity on the 12 string can be heard in the first few notes. He doesn’t play these songs, but explores them with emotional, spacey textures touching on elements of blues and psychedelia. Their chemistry together is evident, making audiences wonder if they’re telepathically communicating with each other while they touch both your heart and mind. They are currently performing throughout the northeast and are currently working on an EP titled, “A Brief and Binding Light.”
_
Cold Chocolate is a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass to create a unique sound all their own. Featuring Ethan Robbins on guitar and Ariel Bernstein on percussion, this duo from Boston is impressing audiences throughout New England and beyond. Punctuated by tight harmonies and skillful musicianship, and with a focus on songwriting, Cold Chocolate has quickly gained recognition for their original music and high-energy shows. The band has shared bills with Leftover Salmon and David Grisman, and regularly performs at venues and music festivals up and down the East Coast.

The Guess Who, the band that became Canada’s first international rock music superstars, began in 1962 in Winnipeg as Chad Allen & The Reflections. Although membership in the group has changed through the years, they have remained musically consistent behind the strengths of original founding member Garry Peterson (drums and vocals), Derek Sharp (lead vocals and guitars), Leonard Shaw (keyboards, flute, sax and vocals), Michael Staertow (guitars and vocals) and Michael Devin (bass guitar and vocals).
_
As they perform hit after hit in concert, it is easy to see and hear why The Guess Who remain one of today’s most sought after touring attractions. A typical audience at a concert by The Guess Who will contain fans from 16 to 60 years old. The popularity of The Guess Who has increased tremendously due to the strength and the highly regarded reputation of their live concert performances.

Marisela & Alvaro Torres Enamorados USA Tour 2023
Marisela Hernandez, known as Marisela, is an American-Mexican singer. In 1984, she recorded her first album at the age of 18, and continued to release albums into the 1990s. Her cover version of Barbara George’s single “I Know”, titled “Ya No”, peaked at number-one in the Billboard Latin Songs chart in 1990.
Álvaro Torres was born on April 9, 1954 in Usulután, El Salvador. Torres moved to Guatemala and started a solo career recording his first album, “Algo especial” (Something Special) in 1976. In 1977 he released the album “Acariciame” (Caress Me) and one year later, he was selected by TCS to represent his country in the seventh edition of the OTI Festival that was held in Santiago, Chile.
Although he got the second to last place, tied with the colombian entrant Billy Pontoni, this was not an obstacle for his career. He became better known in the 1980s. Years later, Torres moved to the United States. He lived in Colorado, California and finally Florida. In 1991 Torres had an artistic breakthrough when he released “Nada Se Compara Contigo”. He was voted Songwriter of the Year by BMI in 1994.
Some of his more famous songs are “Hazme olvidarla”, “La Unica” (The Only One), “Lo Que Se Dice Olvidar”, “Si Estuvieras Conmigo” (If you were here with me) and “Nada se compara contigo” (Nothing Compares to You), “A ti mi amor” (To you my love), “Te Olvidaré” (I´ll Forget You), “El último romántico” (The Last Romantic). He sang a duet with the Mexican singer Marisela on the song “Mi amor por ti” (My Love for You), and also sang a duet with Selena on the song “Buenos amigos” (Good Friends), and in 1997 he recorded “Estaremos Juntos” (We Will Be together) a duet with Puerto Rican singer Millie Corretjerfor her album Sola (Alone).

Event Details
‘Tapestry’, the Carole King Songbook, starring Suzanne O Davis, is North America’s premier musical tribute to Carole King.
This show recreates the sound and vibe of a 1970’s Carole King concert experience following her legendary album, Tapestry. You will be transported back to the iconic image of her 25 million-selling album of 1971.
Impeccable attention to detail is taken in recreating a respectful and accurate musical presentation of piano and vocals, plus the world-class Tapestry band, just as they were. Suzanne’s performance will take you on a journey back to those great recordings with all the music from that record-breaking album, intertwined with backstories of the songs and the times.
Tapestry not only presents the record-breaking, Grammy-winning album of the same name, but is a retrospective of the iconic songwriting team of Goffin and King, and her hits that continued into the 70’s. This prolific team wrote chart-topping hits for artists such as Aretha Franklin, Bobby Vee, The Beatles, James Taylor, the Drifters, Donny Osmond…and the list goes on.

Since 2008, Brass Transit has toured North America steadily, dazzling audiences with flawless performances and spectacular attention to detail. Hits like Saturday In The Park, 25 or 6 To 4, If You Leave Me Now, Feelin’ Stronger Every Day and You’re The Inspiration have left crowds in awe, inspiring multiple standing ovations and comments like: “Spine-Tingling!” “Brought me back to my youth!” and “Perfect in every detail!”
Brass Transit goes far beyond just replicating the songs; they embody the music. They recently produced their first (self-titled) album, taking songs by other top rock artists from the seventies and recording them with horns in the Chicago style. The result is a fresh approach to some of the greatest hits of the era. They also recently scored their show for full symphony orchestra with original arrangements that are truly spellbinding.

Multi-instrumentalists Cathy Clasper-Torch and Shelley Katsh bring years of music making as well as friendship to a virtuoso collaboration of musicianship and spirit. Their repertoire, as heard on their CD, “From the Inside Out” is infused with both the sublime and lively – melodies ancient and contemporary – played “straight from the heart.” Clasper-Torch performs violin, cello, erhu and piano with a diverse range of RI-based bands and musicians, and has recorded on over 3 dozen albums. Cathy has also been the fiddle instructor at Blackstone River Theatre since 2006. Shelley Katsh, on piano and accordion, performed klezmer and Hassidic music with Fishel Bresler and a range of Boston-based klezmer musicians for 20 years. She accompanies and sings with several Rhode Island musical groups and is the Music Director of The Miracle Project-New England.
_
Torrin Ryan, of Attleboro, Mass., has grown up at Blackstone River Theatre having performed solo and with many groups over the past 12 years. Ryan specializes in the uilleann pipes and has gone on to win five All-Ireland medals in Ireland competition including being named the 2013 All-Ireland champion for slow airs on uilleann pipes. The Irish bagpipes, with air pumped from a bag squeezed by the elbow rather than blowing into it like Scottish bagpipes, is recognized as one of the most difficult traditional instruments to master. Torrin also performs on tin whistle and flute. He is joined today by fiddler Amy Law and they will join Cathy and Shelley at the end of the concert for a set of tunes together! Amy Law is an Irish fiddler, step dancer, and Sean-nós dancer who has been playing music since the age of 3 and performing for almost as long. A San Diego native now living in Southeast Mass., she is a student of renowned Seattle-based Irish fiddler Dale Russ. Amy has been inspired by Dale’s unique style as well as many of the great Sliabh Luachra-style fiddle and accordion players throughout the decades.
