Make Mini Pallet Coasters From Popsicle Sticks | DIY Projects
Everyone’s foray into DIY crafting starts with a few simple tools: leftover fabric, scissors, cardboard, a glue gun and of course…popsicle sticks. Being budget-friendly is important to us, but we also like crafts that look like they’re worth way more than they really are. That’s why we’ve got some simple, yet awesome looking mini pallet coasters that are made from popsicle sticks.
What You Need to Make Mini Pallet Coasters:
- 13 popsicle sticks
- scissors
- glue gun
- wood varnish
- wood stain
- paintbrush
Step 1: Cut Sticks
Use your scissors to cut off both edges of each popsicle stick so that it’s completely rectangular.
Step 2: Wood Varnish
Brush your popsicle sticks with wood varnish.
Step 3: Glue Popsicle Sticks
Glue three popsicle sticks on their side onto two flat popsicle sticks like in the image below.
Once the base is set up, glue the remaining 8 popsicle sticks on top.
Step 4: Wood Stain
Add a coat of wood stain on just a few parts of the pallet coaster and rub it in with a paper towel. This will give the coaster a more rustic look. Let them dry.
Step 5: Enjoy
Set your favorite drinks down on your brand new pallet coaster(s)!
