I've been itching to make one of these Farmhouse Wood Bead Wreaths and you are just not gonna believe how easy these are to make!

Wood Bead Wreath Crafting Supplies

Supplies you'll need to get started:

  • floral craft wreath ring – I used the 16-inch but if you don't want one quite as big go with the 12-inch
  • 1.5 inch half wood balls or split wood beads
  • ribbon – I used the 2.5-inch but it looks like the black stripe is out of stock 🙁
  • hot glue gun
  • greenery picks  – I used this sweet grass stem
  • Wire cutters (these are optional but may help if you have a lot of floral picks or stems to trim)

How to make a Wood Bead Wreath:

If you're working with a 16-inch wreath like it did you'll need about 25 half wooden balls. Hot glue those all around the wreath form. This is really the “meat” of this wooden bead wreath and just takes a bit more fluffing to finish after this step.

Adding greenery to wreath

Next, hot glue the greenery to each side of your wood bead wreath or if you prefer you can use floral wire. You can fill in gaps by cutting smaller pieces of greenery and hot gluing those where needed.

Finally, tie a cute ribbon onto the wreath by looping around the wreath. Or hot glue it on if you prefer to do it that way.

How to Hang This Wreath:

Since I'm hanging my farmhouse wood bead wreath on a glass door I have a suction cup clip that mine is hung on. But I might try a command hook to see if I can hide it a bit more. A normal wreath holder that goes over the door will work too!

Another idea is to tie some fishing line around the top of the wreath and stick a small tack at the top of the door to keep it in place. I would only recommend that on a door that isn't used all that much otherwise the wreath will get moved around a lot. 🙂

Wood Bead Wreath on a paned window

I'm kind of obsessed with this farmhouse look and plan to display it well into Fall on my back door. 🙂
