Ramblings:
Target mishap: If you follow my IG Stories then you heard all my ramblings about this over the past few days! A week ago I went to the Charlottesville Target and bought a few things. (Fun fact: when I lived in Vermont there weren't any Targets there at the time so I actually got used to living without Target! I rarely go to the Cville one now haha.) Anyways- there was a freak glitch with the cash register and I was charged not only for my purchases, but the purchases of the person in line behind me. 😐I originally thought it was credit card fraud, but was finally able to get to the bottom of it after calling my credit card company, and then speaking to multiple people on Target's helpline. I ended up having to go back to the store for it to be corrected, and it took up pretty much my entire Monday afternoon to resolve. Target did end up giving me a $35 credit in addition to refunding the incorrect charges- if you're ever in a similar situation always speak up and ask for some sort of extra compensation! I am thankful my credit card wasn't hacked, but goodness this was frustrating. National Boss's Day: Today is National Boss's Day! My co-host Marc and I have a great boss- in the 10 months that I've worked for him I've learned so much about the qualities of a great manager, and I don't take that for granted! My previous bosses were not really great (to put it nicely and vaguely) so I guess third time was a charm for me with having a good boss in the work world. Anyways- if you appreciate your boss or boss's boss, let them know that today! Today's a day to celebrate great leadership.

Weekend recaps:
Last weekend: My roommate and I had our Halloween themed housewarming party Friday night to kick of the weekend! I did get a few photos of what my costume was- I look forward to sharing it with y'all on Halloween soon. On Saturday afternoon, my co-host Marc and I went to Richmond for their first annual Mac n Cheese Festival- held at the Richmond Raceway. I ate carbs to my heart's content! The rest of the weekend was pretty chill- catching up on TV, reading, church, meal planning and a zumba class at my gym.  This weekend: Headed to my first ever UVA sporting event on Saturday- I'm going to the football game! I will feel like a true Charlottesville townie after that I'm sure. It's also my roommate's birthday weekend so I'm sure we will be celebrating that at some point!

Purchases:
I bought a few new packages of these press-on nails which I've been keeping y'all updated about on IG Stories. I'm still in the testing out phase, but I might be converted! Check out my favorite blog posts of the week below for another blogger's full review of them. I picked up this under $25 lined basket for my living room to hold throw blankets in- we were previously draping them on the couch and it didn't look good.  Grabbed two basic turtlenecks that I'll be wearing all fall and winter- I got one striped and one solid colored one.  Some new black jeans that are incredibly comfortable- now I want them in regular denim too.  A cozy new flannel shirt- it comes in several colors.

Wishlist:
I'm sure no one is surprised that Lilly Pulitzer made the pink jumpsuit of my dreams! Loving this black and white dress for a fall work or church outfit. I had no idea that a few items were still available online from the Lilly for Target re-launch! I think this scarf is calling my name.  These are my holy grail booties that I have worn nonstop for the past three years. I love them so much that I'm thinking about buying a replacement pair!  Headed back to North Carolina in a couple weeks to visit a friend- not sure if we will be day tripping to Charlotte or not, but if so I might finally stop by the Girl Tribe store and buy one of these hats!
Currently reading: The Futures by Anna Pitoniak. I finished Anna Pitoniak's other book, Necessary People, last week and LOVED it. I immediately jumped into The Futures, which was her first novel.

Recipe of the week: Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas from Lil Luna. My roommate recently had a bunch of extra flour tortillas that she said I could use for a recipe. I have a beloved beef enchilada recipe, but that one calls for corn tortillas. I started looking on Pinterest at enchilada recipes that use flour tortillas and found this one. It was a fairly easy and tasty weeknight meal!

Song of the week: 10000 Hours by Dan + Shay ft. Justin Bieber. I am just obsessed with this new song! Not only are the lyrics super sweet, but this totally has 90s boyband vibes. I feel like this song is a cross between *NSYNC and Savage Garden- two of my old school favorites!

Favorite blog posts of the week:
The Daily Amy - My Charlotte blogger friends Amy and Cara teamed up again this year to bring you an adorable BFF Halloween costume idea. They are so creative and I love the finished product! Covering the Bases - Krista got married last month, and had her wedding guests capture the weekend via disposable camera. She had the photos developed and shared them in this fun post. Heather Bien - Heather wrote a fantastic post all about her affordable nail hack- which is using press-on nails instead of going to the salon! She convinced me to try them for myself.
