Monday Miscellany: Scarf Tutorial & More…

I’ve been wanting to do another scarf tutorial for some time, but honestly haven’t felt sufficiently motivated to do one of the longer, more polished ones. They require more focus than I’m able to muster currently. But lately I’ve been of a mind that we’re all a little rough around the edges these days, so why not just have some fun. So the next time you’re having a bad hair day, or just want to do something different with your scarves, give this one a try:

You can find the scarf HERE.

What We’re Watching…

“Dead To Me” is back for another season on Netflix! It’s a dark comedy, with great writing and wonderful performances by Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini.

We’ve been catching up with the most recent season of “Better Things” on Hulu. I love, love, love this series. Weird, funny, meandering, poignant at times, and oddly relatable.

Two of my favorite things, jazz and Paris provide the framework for “The Eddy.” (Also on Netflix.) It’s often dark and gritty, but very compelling and interspersed with some wonderful music. (All of the actors are also musicians.) One of the owners of a Paris jazz club is murdered by a shady character we suspect of being tied to organized crime. The other owner, Elliott (also a musician and band leader) is wrongly accused by the police. His troubled teenage daughter has just arrived from New York, and continues acting out in self-destructive ways. I love that this series shows a modern, non-romanticized Paris, and a (realistically) diverse one. We’re only a couple of episodes in, but it will be interesting to see where this story goes.
