Please stop by and link up to these lovely parties.....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated the front porch for the 4th of July and gave an update on how the flowers are growing in the front......

And I also shared a few gifts that I received.....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

In my last 2 posts, I mentioned that our son Jim and DIL Danielle tested positive for Co Vid and after a bit of a rough time, they have recovered and plan to return to work tomorrow....

I thought I had a sinus issue going on, the same one that I had been battling since the beginning of Spring.....

Until I developed a low grade fever.....

And then Joe ended up with a fever on Wednesday night into Thursday morning and he NEVER gets sick......

I had not been feeling good since Sunday and since Joe never ever gets sick but now he had a fever and a cough, I made him go for a rapid Co Vid test.....

And Lo and Behold, He tested positive for Co Vid....

He was put on one of the anti virals and has been doing quite well....

I decided to go and have the PCR testing done as it is more accurate and of course, I also tested positive....

Since my so called S&S ,which I thought were more of a sinusitis, started on Sunday, I was just about done with my first 5 days of quarantine when I got the positive result....

I have been fever free for over 2 days and I am feeling fine so I apparently had a mild case....

Joe is also doing well and is now fever free and actually is now coughing less than he has in the 6 years since he stopped smoking....

We are now 5 for 5 as Joey has tested positive too, after initially testing negative, but has an incredibly mild case and hardly has any S&S except for some nasal stuffiness.....

After Joe tested positive and was put on an antiviral by the Urgent Care Center that he went to for testing, I confirmed the treatment with our family physician who told me that it is the treatment that he has been ordering and the strain that is prevalent here in our area has been causing very mild symptoms....

We were contacted by the Pa Department of Health for Contact Tracing and the nurse said that we all could have picked it up anywhere and within 2-14 days of contact so who and where we all got it from, we will never know....

But, we have all recovered or are recovering and are doing well.....

We were very lucky!!!

Right now, there is a highly contagious strain on Omicron out there and you can be exposed to it anywhere....

I will continue to stay home and on those rare times that I do venture out, I will continue to wear a mask as I never stopped wearing one since this all started....

The one thing that the nurse from the Pa Department of Health impressed upon me is after the initial 5 days after you are fever free for 24 hours, you must wear a mask for 5 days if you go out and are not to take it off even if you are EATING IN PUBLIC!

Again, this restriction shows that one of the biggest causes in the spread of this remains restaurants as they are considered Super Spreaders since people are eating and spewing droplets all over.....

Please do Take Home and NOT Eat In so we can curb this Pandemic......

As I mentioned, I am feeling great now.....

So much so, that yesterday on Day 6 of Co Vid for me, I took advantage to the lower temps and humidity and cut back and thinned out all the Missouri Primrose in the back yard......

I spent 3 hours out in my Cottage Garden.....

Now all that is left are the asters that will bloom in the Fall.....

You can see how I cleaned up around and under the arbor.....

I raked and freshened up the mulch through out the back yard...

The Loosestrife is beginning to bloom on each side of the arbor....

I also moved some of my potted flowers into the garden area....

I filled 3 garbage bags with what I trimmed including some of the columbine.....

I planted a Wild Flower seed mix from Dollar Tree in this vintage galvanized container.....

I keep planted marigold seeds in this long planter box and then transplanting them in other pots.....

I cut back some columbine and primrose in this middle section too....

And moved a flower pot into the area for a pop of color.....

The leaves on this columbine turned red which i think looks pretty!!

The loosestrife is blooming now........

The sedum in front of the planter chair is doing well and will bloom the end of August....

I cut back some primrose here in this flower bed too....

Now my Cottage Garden has a cleaner look for the remainder of the Summer......

I moved some of the pots around on the patio too and swept up all the walkways which were covered with "stuff" blowing off all the trees behind us.....

Today, on Day 7 of Co Vid, I hope to clean up the Patio area under the awning, wiping down all the furniture and giving it a good sweeping....

I always say that in my 40's, when all my multiple Medical issues started to rear their ugly heads, I knew that my days of traveling for any distance were over....

So I decided that since I loved the Victorian Era so much that I would turn my 1970's built townhouse into the Victorian Bed and Breakfast that I would love to stay at if I was able to continue to travel....

Every Bed and Breakfast seems to have a cozy room where guests can go and choose a book from bookcases filled a variety of books....

They can then sit and relax in a comfy chair, maybe by a fire place and do a bit of reading...

Several years ago, I decided to change what used to be my son Jim's bedroom from a Guest Room into a Sitting Room because I realized that in 40 years, we never had a guest stay over........

I decided to decorate this room in a Garden Theme and use several book cases for all my Decorating and Gardening books and books that I amassed with the intention of reading when I retired....

A few weeks ago, I shared how I decorated my faux fire place in the Sitting Room as an indoor Fairy Garden....

I followed that post with another post sharing this corner of the Sitting Room and the Garden Tea Table that I set up.....

I will pick up where I left off at the end of that post......

Still in this corner of the Sitting Room is where I display most of my Tea Cup Collection.....

Now I have tea cups displayed all over the house but the majority of them are in this room.....

Several years ago, I bought this tea cup shelf at a church flea market for $5......

I painted it white when I painted all the other furniture in this room white....

I display my Rosie B. Tea Set on top of it....

There are Cherished Teddies plaques hung on the wall and figurines on the shelf....

The vintage crystal candle holders were bought in Salvation Army and cost $5 for the pair!!

I have collected tea cups for over 30 years.....

Some are vintage....

Some are new.....

I bought them at yard sales....

Estate Sales....

And Flea Markets....

Some were gifted to me by friends and family....

A few I even won in Blog Giveaways....

Some I bought at stores like the Christmas Tree Shop....

Years of collecting.....

I have also displayed tea cups and tea pots in other places in this room.....

I "created " this stand by placing 2 tables on top of each other....

My son , Joey, gave me this small TV that he did not have a need for....

And he bought an antenna for it so I did not have to hook it up to cable.....

I am able to pick up 26 channels with it!!!!!

I collect Angels also and this beauty stays here year round....

I collected a few matching pieces of this "Made in Japan" Luster finished china.....

I do love the colors of it!!

The vintage baby shoes on this shelf belonged to my neighbor Elly.....

This is actually a chocolate pot, I beleive......

I also displayed a few tea cups on this shelf and a vintage Tea Pot.....

I keep an old radio/CD player here so I can listen to my CD collection ,which is close to 200 CD's. while I read in this room....

There is one more area that I want to share in this post where I have displayed tea cups.........

In this corner of the Sitting Room, on top of a corner curio that was my neighbor Elly's.....

I hung a tea cup rack on the wall in this corner.....

Inside the curio, is my Collection of yellow Depression Glass, some of which was my Mother's, along with a few pieces of my Angel Collection.....

I will be sharing more of this curio in my next post in this Series.......

 I also collect Tea Pots......

I have some of them displayed on this long shelf that runs along this wall close to the ceiling.....

The vintage scarf was made by my maternal Grandmother and she also did the tatted edging....

I also have a few of The Brain Baker Collection of Houses on this shelf....

In my next post, I will be sharing the "Library" area of the Sitting Room...

Truth be told, I have been sleeping in this room on this rather comfy recliner as I do much better in a semi fowler's ( sitting up) position with my sinus issues and my back.....

I hope you will stop by to visit again on Wednesday for my final post on the Sitting Room in my Bed and Breakfast series!!
